A 1:100 scale model, made for the club chairman’s 70th birthday. The model is carefully detailed, featuring both natural and built components. Many materials were used, including woods, card, wire, modelling clay, foams, powders, lichen, plastics, and scatters. Models of this scale require a careful ‘knocking-back’ – reducing contrasts, and shifting colours towards blue-grey, to avoid an unrealistic, toy-like appearance.

Included in the model are several caricatures of club members.
